The new, 68,000 square foot Katie Tiedemann College of Business broke ground on USFSP’s campus, despite inclement weather. The iconic design was developed by Harvard Jolly with their joint-venture partner, ikon.5, in collaboration with USFSP. The facility will enhance the flow and feel of the neighboring downtown/waterfront area with design inspiration drawn from the surrounding natural elements of sunshine and water. The interior design focuses on fostering collaborative learning and includes learning and computer labs, faculty offices, support and student offices, conference rooms, audio room, tiered classrooms, and auditoriums. The facility is seeking a minimum of LEED Silver certification.
