St. Pete Design Group to re-imagine St. Petersburg Pier

Harvard Jolly is excitedto announce the joint-venture created with Yann Weymouth and Wannemacher Jensen Architects. Our passion for our founder's iconic design is unequaled, and we very much look forward to the pending opportunity to re-imagine the inverted pyramid alongside Yann Weymouth and Wannemacher Jensen.

A love for St. Petersburg and its trademark Pier has brought together acclaimed Architects for a common goal: a reimagined Pier and Park that will unify and serve the community and attract visitors of all ages. The architectural coalition brings an unparalleled collective perspective and experience to help ensure the successful future of a St. Petersburg icon.

The joint venture will submit its response to the City's RFQ under the name “St. Pete Design Group.” Yann Weymouth will serve as the Design Director of the project; Wannemacher Jensen will be responsible for the uplands and the approach; and Harvard Jolly will be responsible for the Pier centerpiece, which they originally designed in the 1970s. Together, the team will reimagine the inverted Pier pyramid, approach and Park. All core design team members live and work in St. Pete, with projects that extend beyond its boundaries and reach across the globe.

“Our intent is to unite our City by retaining beloved elements of our history while enhancing our future with innovative experiences,” said Weymouth. “We believe that our vision, breadth of knowledge, and committed approach are key to creating a new, authentic and inspired St. Pete experience.”
