This project consists of the expansion of the hospital's operating room capacity from 18 to 22 rooms, and includes appropriate support spaces through a three-story expansion. The operating rooms are being outfitted with new technology allowing for improved integration, robotics, and video conferencing. In addition, the sterile processing department is being replaced and the preparation, holding, and post-anesthesia care unit areas are being expanded and renovated to meet new standards.

The expansion will encompass approximately 11,100 square feet of new construction on the first floor to the south of the existing surgery department, and an estimated 7,500 square feet of internal renovation within the existing department. The second and third floors above the expansion area will also be shelled in.
