Ward J. Friszolowski, AIA
Executive Vice President
Civic/Collegiate/Library Design Leader
A city or town's civic buildings and libraries tell a lot about a community. These facilities are the community's 'living room' where people go to learn, meet, and interact. As a person who has used libraries throughout my life, I credit my personal and professional development to them. Our designs provide an enjoyable architectural experience and atmosphere for our clients and the building's users. To me, the most gratifying aspect of designing these facilities is seeing people use them on a regular basis.
Ward has been with Harvard Jolly for over 20 years where he heads the firm's civic, collegiate, and library practices. He is recognized as a library design expert in the Southeast and is credited with designing over 40 libraries. He is a frequent speaker at conferences for the Florida Library Association, is a member of the American Library Association and is active in his community.
In addition to serving on numerous committees, Ward served as Mayor of St. Pete Beach for eight years. Ward received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
