Michael K. Hart, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED AP
Executive Vice President
Healthcare Design Leader
The complexities and sensitivities associated with effective healthcare design are challenging. Oftentimes, solutions to these complexities are not immediately apparent. For instance, codes and standards are constantly evolving and lean operation processes are being engaged. Information sciences are ever present and are becoming more integrated. The ability to see and understand the big picture is vital to effective healthcare design which, to me, provides an exciting work environment. Being a part of the discovery process and collaborating with our clients is professionally rewarding.
With over 20 years at Harvard Jolly, Michael's career has focused on healthcare planning and design. He is one of 13 individuals in the State of Florida that is certified and registered by the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA). He has also received his Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).
Michael has made presentations to the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association and National Association of State Veterans Homes, and has published numerous articles on healthcare design. He is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received both a master's and bachelor's degree in architecture.
